IMG_6487Hey there junk lovers!  We are Tara and Becca, and we are so happy that you stopped by!

A little bit about us to satisfy your interest… We thoroughly enjoy all things old, rusty, and dusty, and are always in search of our next great find in America’s beautiful dairyland. Bringing new life to old household items is our passion. It brings us great joy turning an otherwise discarded or unloved item into a new decorating staple or conversation piece. We also enjoy contributing to the world of sustainability through our practice; Recycling, repurposing and reusing keeps useless items from stacking up in a landfill.

The craft of refinishing and upcycling is a unique one that when practiced correctly, can really make a difference in the world.  Many have taken notice, and it has thus become quite trendy as well! What sets us apart from other similar vendors in our field is our back-story.  Our experience and education help us provide the best services to you, our faithful followers!  Tara has 14+ years experience in woodworking and antique restoration, and Becca has a bachelor’s degree in interior design (focus on interior architecture) and 8+ years experience in the field of design and decoration.  Together, we are a dynamic duo and a force to be reckoned with!  We would love the opportunity to show you what our unique set of skills can bring to your home or workspace!

  1. Beautiful work! I always love what you ladies come up with, and I can’t wait to get some of my own Upcycle Girls pieces!

  2. Congratulations! I took a little spin around your site and it looks beautiful! I esp loved the turquoise vanity redo and the arrow sign for the nursery (new Gigi to twin granddaughters 1 month early).

I too am from the Dairyland and that doesn’t mean California!! Happy hunting and repurposing!
